Mark Duffy

Partner & Co-Founder

Mark is a career entrepreneur who has co-founded and advised many startups, and helped these teams raise over $300M. He has seen companies through successful sales and acquisitions as a Board Member, CEO, COO, CFO and advisor.

Mark’s roles include: CFO at Advanced Technology Ventures; Co-founder, COO and Board Member at ExpressPoint (grew to $60M in revenue & sold in a successful MBO); Board Member at Integrated Healthcare Information Services (Sold to Ingenix); Board Member and CFO at Wall Street Horizon Sold to TMX Group (Operates Toronto Stock Exchange); CFO at Onex Communications (Sold for $90M to Transwitch); CFO at JumpTap (Sold for $224M to Millennial Media); and CFO at nToggle (Sold for $38M to Rubicon).

He is also a co-founder and Board Member of Music and Youth Initiative, a non-profit that funds and develops music clubhouses for disadvantaged youth nationwide.

Mark holds a BA and MBA from Boston College.

Kelly Wahlberg

Partner & Co-Founder

Kelly is a senior financial and operational executive with experience building and managing finance, human resources and administrative infrastructure for growing technology companies. Her focus is on venture backed technology companies, including B2B, B2C and Saas models.

Kelly is talented at developing, implementing, and scaling financial and operational processes and controls. She also has a strong background in FP&A, M&A and equity & debt financing.

Kelly has worked with publicly-traded software companies including Booz Allen Hamilton, The Providence Service Corporation, INSO and Allen Systems Group (formerly Viasoft); and technology start-ups like Circulation, Epidemico, Fiksu, Upromise, Cartera Commerce and Axway (formerly Cyclone Commerce).

Kelly is a Certified Compliance Officer (CHC) and holds a BA from the University of Massachusetts.

Brendan Walsh

Chief Operating Officer

Brendan brings extensive experience in FP&A, financial management and operational strategies to P2L. As COO, he is a catalyst for innovation and growth, with focus on driving operational efficiency, maximizing value and guiding the company towards sustainable growth and success.

As former Managing Director, Brendan built and maintained financial forecast and budget models, facilitated due diligence processes between clients and investors and nurtured client relationships.

Brendan's finance career began in the renowned Management Development Program at Marriott International, rising through the ranks to Senior Assistant Director of Finance for properties with annual revenues in excess of $85MM. He managed finance and accounting teams, negotiated capex projects and hotel contracts, oversaw audits, designed and implemented financial strategies, and acted as liaison between hotel operators and ownership groups.

Brendan holds a BA in Finance and Economics from Saint Anselm College and earned his MBA at Northeastern University in 2022.

Dan Walsh

Managing Director

Dan is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in the startup and hospitality industries. He helps clients scale their businesses through comprehensive financial planning and oversight. His expertise includes developing precise forecast and budget models, ensuring financial statement accuracy and overseeing internal audit processes.

​Dan held finance management positions at three major hotels in Boston, including Assistant Director of Finance at New England's largest hotel, which generated over $110MM annually. He managed a team of accountants and implemented a company-wide procurement system, streamlining accounting functions and achieving significant cost savings.

Dan earned his BS in Finance and International Business & Economics from the University of New Hampshire.

Barry Star

Board Member

Barry is Chief Executive Officer of Wall Street Horizon, a leading provider of corporate events data to the investment community.  Throughout his 30+ year career, Barry has been fortunate to witness and shape the startup and evolution of a number of dynamic new industries including the personal computer, online brokerage and online banking.

 

Barry holds a BS from MIT and an MBA from Stanford University.
